Key not working?

Anyone ever experience this? Key has been working to crank my 90 just fine until today. Put key in, will not turn. I tried multiple times, but it acted like it wasn't correct key. I took key out and tried again and it worked...NFC

Sometimes it can be the steering wheel lock and you can rock the wheel back and forth to get it to turn, and sometimes one of the tumblers can develop a burr and get hung up in the cylinder.

Is the steering wheel locked? If so you can jiggle the wheel back and forth while you ease the key forward. Happens to mine all the time. Something to do with the locking mechanism getting loose.

I turned the wheel back and forth thinking that was it, I had someone push the truck to roll it while I turned the wheel and it finally turned. Most likely the lock mechanism.

Squirt the inside of the ignition with a shot of WD40. Should lengthen the life a bit.

No silicon spray use a dry lubricant not wet like wd40
