KC HiLiTES - 7" LED HEADLIGHT SET

Was just wondering if anyone had seen these and if they would work on Defenders.

Haven't seen them but no reason they wouldn't work. How much are they?

Why not consider the Nolden 7" BiLeds?

Simple plug and play with the highest IP rating of IP6K9K and a measured light output of 1700 lumens which is brighter then most other LED headlights on the market place

That brand hasn't yet made it to the US yet

Noldens are a German company and market high end LED lights We have three Defenders one fitted with standard LR candles, one fitted with JWSpeaker 8700 and one fitted with Noldens.

The Noldens are definitely brighter then the Speaker and have an IP rating of 6K9K whereas the Speakers are IP rating of 67.

So are brighter and definitely more waterproof then the Speakers, also I have not seen or heard of one case of condensation in Noldens.

I'm running these in two defenders and love them . Last night a buddy installed a set and did a side by side comparison with truck lites brand , and the KCs had better light and better pattern . Of course I am partial to KC with the 23 year warranty and I'm friends with the owner of the company lol .

------ Follow up post added November 21st, 2014 10:00 AM ------

Amazon has the KCs for 475.00 I think

Hah, I had a feeling that was going to be your response and I almost forewent the post and just sent you a PM. I'm assuming Steadfast is retailer for KC?

Eeeeeek....is that black and yellow KC logo removable?

Why only a 23 year warranty...why not 25 years?

Nope the logo is very small but it's there ! As for the 23 year warranty I vowed never to repeat the real reason he came up with that number lol. I like the looks of them myself . But if the KC logo is to much there's plenty of other lights out there .

Does anyone know how many amps do lights like these draw? A normal halogen 55w bulb will draw about 4.5-5 amps, so figure 9-10 for the pair.

I have been thinking about changing over nearly everything over to LED's just for the lower power needed and increased reliability.

Lol - interesting

The KC has a better look cosmetically than some-I think its the JWspeakers that look hideous..
That black band is on some other brands too.

I just dont want all the logos--if we're advertising their company, they should give us the stuff?!
(I even painted my OME shocks black so I wouldnt have all that yellow advertising underneath)

a quick google came up with this :

High beam current draw 2.3 amps (stock halogen is 5.5 amps).

don't know how factual it is ...
