I figured this would be the next (logical) step. Good luck.

I want to be able to buy parts locally, like my local autozone.
For how old they are and them not being sold much here, most parts are very easily obtained and relatively cheap.

Defender I'm not worried about too much I've been hording parts for my D's for about a decade now (2 spare crate motors) but bentley its first year service is free plus I don't plan on keeping it longer than 2 years because I know I will be bored of it by than. It has 1200 miles on it, I doubt I will need to be fixing it anytime soon.

Mainly I just want to change to sbc motor, TH700R, 4 wheel disc brakes and power steering. I'd be happy with these major changes. Certain things like brake lines, booster, springs shocks yeah I'm sure will always be sourced, but I need to make series driving fun again.

Why don't you put one of the crate motors in the Series?

I'd consider it a waste of an expensive new hard to find rover block. I'd feel giulty since I'm saving them for my D's. Chevy block into an old landrover dosen't make me feel giulty at all since I feel series isn't worth a lot of money to me. To me, series truck is just for fun and easy to fix and modify. Even my insurance is only like $120 through haggarty.
