Talking Just got me a D90 TD5

Hey there...

Decided to pass on the 2004 Disco deal and get my hands on this "steal"!

2001 D90 Cabrio, TD5, 23K Miles, 2 year to go on warrantee, in GREAT condition (price <17K USD).

What I need now are:
Fiber hard top
Tuffy security boxes
285/75 16 BFG AT
ARBs front and rear
front winch/bumper (chrome A-bar for sale - shipping from Dubai free )
Jeremy Fearn's magic (+200hp)

This is going to be a mild offroader as it will be my daily driver (offroader is a Disco on 37s)

Any help in securing the Tuffy and a brand new (preferably) hard top would be appreciated (been online on Tuffy, not sure what is for a D90...)...

Thanks...

P.S., I know the color is not THAT sweet

Nadim, you have to be the luckiest RoverGuy I know!?! First a Disco sittin' on 37's and now a D-90? I think you need to mildly mod the 90...37's in the near future for this one too??

no 37s for this baby...285/75 BFG AT/KO is it! but you'll be glad to know that the Disco is getting 39.5 once the shipment arrives in Lebanon...

The color is Alveston Red

Need to get the top done though...

And I thought I had tire envy with the 37's..Great now I will not be able to sleep @ night thinking about my Disco with 39.5's?? Keep us posted on these 39.5's and the 90 (I am sure it will be slightly modded out soon).

I need a sponsor. Hmm...I wonder if Hugh Hefner likes Land Rovers ?! J/K

Very nice Nadim. Welcome to the club. I find it funny how we call them soft tops and the rest of the world is on "cabrio's".

I like how the AC system on the TD5 doesn't stick out as far as ours (the older units). Makes for much improved leg room.

Cheers!

LOL...I'll vote for that! (Met Hugh as University as he is an Alumni...woohoo)

You'll need a LOT of drivetrain mods for the larger tires, RoverChick...I can walk you through it all if you need...

Soft top is better...feels brittish...

The A/C was a surprise to me. I was accompanied by my friend and Defender guru who was also surprised as his South African 2.8 BMW D90 had a more protruding example and his '98 D110 V8 has it in the dash which impedes the use of those sweet vents behind the dash...at 6'2", I'm thinking of not changing the rear bulkhead for more legroom...
