Just got a 4.2 RRC ECU, how can I verify it is?

Hi all, I just bought a used 4.2 ECU from this guy who claims it was taken out of a 93 RRC 4.2. How can I verify this? The box is black, says AMR1423 14CUX 80392A on the sticker. Date code is 3492. Any help is appreciated as I don't know how to verfy if thats what I really got. Thanks and Cheers!

Neil

Neil, did you ever verify if you actually have a 4.2 EFI ECU?

I just got an ECU from a 93 RRC LWB. AMR2943 14CUX 80431A with a Date Code of 1193. Looks exactly like this one on ebay.

You know you can just get a 4.2 chip to drop into your 3.9 ecu, right?

I didn't know that until after I found a thread, I believe it was from you stating one could be had for around $40... I guess its a good thing I didn't pay very much for this one.

I never did find out if the box I had was indeed from a 4.2 RRC. Pardon my ignorance, Chris Davis sells these chips?

No, I don't believe so. I originally had 2 and sold one.

Btw, I have the Tornado chip that I will be posting for sale...
