jump seat seatbelt

Can I use any lap belt for this application? Is there something specific about the land rover belts for the jump seats? I'm going to be installing these seats I got and will need some belts. Was hoping I could use some cheap lap belts from another vehicle.

You should be good as long as the mounts are the same. And the jump seats even with seat belts arent really safe anyway.

Extension of this question: I have a new to me 110 and the jump seat belts, at least one, just won't come out. No go...anyone have any tricks to getting them to work...or is there a "cheap" solution. I don't plan to use the thing on the highway or really going more than a mile to an ice cream store with kids....but it would be nice to have it work....

TIA

they are inertia belts, so try retracting the a little then extracting smoothly. prob just binded up a bit like a winch line that spooled to one side

No matter how hard I have tried, 2 of the 4 are just plain "stuck" fully retracted. There is no way to gently move them at all at this point.

Can they be serviced/opened? If not, the mount is generic enough so aftermarket belts seem realistic as an option....

TIA everyone.

search a little - this is not specific to jump seat seatbelts. There was a thread on this just last week with what to do. Try searching retract or something like that.

Found it...did not help (took them out of truck, made them go horizontal, etc. I appreciate the help and it is the right issue...just more foobar than I guess is the norm.

Thank you for the data though.
