Jotto Desk Install (D90)

Hiya D90 Brainiacs,

I just purchased a Jotto Desk off ebay to install in my D90. (I know i am a geek!)

Attached is a pic of a Jotto Desk.

Has anybody ever done this in their defender and can share pics or some wise words on mounting it?

I am getting ready for summer and want to work sitting in my truck by the lake...

Oh yeah, any other similiar type systems out there?

I bolted it through the seatbox next to the passenger seat rail. I cut the foot piece so that just the bracket attaching to the upright remained. Drilled a hole in the bracket and the seatbox. I put a 1/4 inch plate on the other side to minimize movement and stress in the seatbox metal. I leave the bracket in place and detach the vertical arm until I want to use it. I've attached a Lowrance Baja gps to mine.

Never had one in my 90 but have the Jotto in my F250 and love it. Main reason I went with Jotto is that it was one of the few bolt in applications that was easily removable and very maneuverable.

Bolted through the seatbox. I have a had the same location for a longtime. Works well.

I'd post the pic LRL took of it but they are defunct.

Installed one in my Disco. Fabbed up a new cubby box lid - drilled a hole and then used just the horizontal arm from the Jotto Set up with a large bolt through the cubby lid. Actually worked quite well. I could swing the arm to the left if no passenger, then rotate the screen. Did not use up any of the footwell of the passenger space.
