John Craddock, Ltd.

Anyone have experience with this outfit? I just ordered some floor mats for my D-90 at a great price, but they want to 'contact' me for shipping quote which will be a separate charge. Kinda odd and I haven't heard from them yet although my order was processed.

Thanks

Standard operating procedure ... the calculate they postage and let you know what it is.

I have an order with LRSeries for the same.

You may find the shipping is expensive as the items are heavy.

Craddocks are reputable

I got my spare bonnet kit from them. very good comparative pricing and shipping was reasonable for UK. would definitely use them again.

One of the largest LR parts suppliers in the UK, been going for years. They probably seperate shipping as there are numerous options they can use depending upon your urgency. I used them lots when we lived in the UK as they were only 45mins away.

I have used Craddock's before. The prices are reasonable and shipping wasn't cheap but it wasnt bad. Between Lr series and Craddock's, you can usually find what you're looking for.

I've used them several times with great results. I have always been very happy with the products, prices etc. I did have a rather long delay in the shipping quote and shipping when I ordered right around Xmas last year, but if you haven't received the quote in a couple days, just email them and they will get on it rather quickly.

Nothing but good stuff to say about Craddock, it did take a few days to get back to me, but only one day to receive it here in Boston. Well worth the savings..

For the record, I got this item from PA Blanchard, not Craddock. I have ordered from Craddock though and have not had issues.

My latest experience:
Placed an order for some smalls; Lucas dizzy cap, etc. Got the shipping quote and we will just say it seemed a bit high. Replied by email to Ian that I thought it was out of line. 24 hours later I get a new shipping quote for half of what the original was.
I have always had great service from them.
Another anecdote:
One day out of the blue a bag from the UK shows up in the mailbox over at the barn. I know I hadn't ordered anything. Opened it up and there's a upper tailgate prop rod support tightening thingamajig in there that had been on back order for about three months. I had completely forgotten about it, but they hadn't.
I think their parts search box and website is about the best from a UI standpoint. If I have one complaint it is that they empty your shopping cart if you have been idle for more than a few minutes. My workaround is to shop, place items in my wishlist (which stays resident in your account) and when ready to check out just move those items into the cart.

The wish list approach it great. I've taken to paddocks more recently for a bunch of parts simply to consolidate orders in as few a shipments as possible

Used them several times and pleased other than shipping seemed high lately. Will have to ask if they can do better next time.

I use them all the time. Shipping seems in line for me and very quick delivery. Usually within a week.
