Is this the right fan clutch for a 94 D90 NAS?

Hi everyone,

My Defender is back up and running! My mechanic buddy now wants to tackle the overheating issue that it had when it was running (2 yrs ago).

He told me to order a fan clutch. Is this the right one for a 1994 D-90 NAS? It's parked about an hour north of where I live (in another friend's barn), so it's hard to compare with what's in there now. My mechanic is telling me he doesn't think it's the right one.

Thanks in advance everyone!

We are not familiar with V8´s around here but Microcat says that part number ERC5708 is for 2.25L Petrol with A/C, 2.5L NA diesel, 2.5L Petrol and V8 Twin Carb L/R Petrol which I don´t know if that´s your case. V8 4.0 EFI Petrol takes viscous fan part# ERR3443.

see the recent thread on the RRC fan. Clutches can be had from SUmmit Racing for 60$ or a pos that doesnt work anywhere from 120-150 depending on where you shop.

I replaced my fan clutch this last year and ordered one from Atlantic British. The bolt pattern did not fit my fan. To be safe I ordered a fan from AB and another fan clutch from Rovers North. The RN fan clutch was a direct replacement for my old one, which looked original. Just FYI

The one in the picture you posted looks like the original one I have and the one I purchased from RN.
