Interior Door Lock rod

Anyone have a diagram on how the interior door lock works? Also, where can I purchase the vertical 4" rod from the plastic push lock to the main locking mechinanism?

Here's a page from the parts catalog for 87+ 110's but looks the same to me. Also a photo that I have (minus the actuators).

Electric locks Aaron?

Matt, I probably have the 4" rod your looking for. I'll look for it tomorrow. PM your address and I'll snail mail it to you.

Door locks

Anyone have a pic of how you routed the wiring from the door back into the cab for electric locks?
Thanks,
-Gardner

I don't have a pict but I dropped the wire to the bottom of the door frame and through the rubber tube that's there for the speaker wire. From there, it's a bit of a hack but right now, it comes out from that black metal trim piece that's there that holds 2 screws + the door light trigger. Goes directly up under the dash and from there... wherever your brain is.

I couldn't seem to get the black metal trim off completely. I was going to figure that out another day. But the speaker wire goes into a hole that's behind the wheel fender. I supposed I could take the interior wheel fender cover off to see if it connects through but it was getting dark.

Not sure on an 84... but I've seen some picts online of D90's without speaker's in the door... the wires just had to run under the door arm.

Any details on hooking up electric door lock actuators too all the doors would be great (where others have mounted the actuators ) I did this on my old H1 rear barn door so you push one remote button and all 5 doors are locked. The Wifes 110 (non remote) you have to reach through to the 2ndrow door and go to each front door and rear door separately ( lazy sounding I know but with 2 little ones and a dog using all 5 doors every day it is a PITA)

I would assume the middle doors on the 110 would be similar to the front doors. The tough one I think is the rear tailgate. Here's a thread on some guys who have done it:

http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?sh...8&#entry561728

I think the newer style rear door might have an slot for this. Think I read that somewhere here.

Here's also a thread with other pictures on the front doors:

http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=32024

You have to sign up for an account to see the picts.

The way the actuators hook up to the brain is going to depend on the system you buy. Some require a relay... actually 2... 1 for opening and 1 for closing. The Code Alarm I got has a built in relay so you just need to hook the 2 wire actuator up directly to the brain. If you have 4 actuators, I assume you'd hook them all up to the brain... but maybe there would be a power issue... probably not though.
