Interior and Exterior Stainless Hardware Group Buy?

I'm testing the water to see if there is sufficient interest to justifty doing another stainles group buy. Its only really practical to buy the stuff in bulk, so I need interest from at least 10 people.

This time I would ship the fasteners in plastic boxes instead of the zip-loc bags like previously. The boxes (the ones with all the little divided compartments) cost a few bucks, but will improve sorting, installation, and shipping.

The kits have been talked about in several threads over the past few years, here are the major ones.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ead.php?t=6838

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ead.php?t=4302

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ead.php?t=4854

I'm sure the price of hardware has increased slightly, but the cost would still be in the vicinity of 200 for both kits, with the interior one being slightly less than 100 and the exterior slightly more. These kits contain far more fasteners than the Motosource (Atlantic British) or Mud UK kits.

Post here if you want in.

I would be interested, especially if it came with some sort of instructions.

Thanks,

I`m 100% in. It doesn`t by chance come with the bolts for the floor boards though, does it? mine are rusted to sh*t.

Follow-up Post:

oh, forgot to ask also, are the black fasteners still gonna be black?

I will take one, maybe two depending on cost. Especially if it can be done soon, I'm starting to put this project 90 together. Let me know cost and your address, and I'll send the money.

Well, thats a good start. I wont commit to doing it until I can get 10 though, but this sure looks promising.

To answer questions -
1) The floorboard bolts are included
2) All currently black fasteners are replaced with a special blackened stainless.
3) I wrote a comprehensive set of instructions for both kits.
4) The cost will be right around 200 for both kits.
5) If someone is local, we can workout a deal for installation as well.
6) I'm more than happy to customize the kits for SW's, 110's, etc.
7) All shipping is done by registered, insured FedEx.

The timeline will look something like this:
Week 1 - research, prepare order
Week 2 - place and receive order
Week 3-4 - me packaging thousands of stainless parts
Week 5 - shipping
Week 6 - your install

Query: Are you looking for 10 interior and 10 exterior or 10 total? Just hoping we get to your minimum quickly.

Well, we got 5 overnight, that sounds pretty good. Between ebay, here and LRX, I'm sure I can sell the remainder fairly fast.

OK, so we're a GO. I'd like to get some deposits before I start, so if you want fasteners, paypal me 50 bucks along with the following info:

1) Your year and model of truck
2) QTY of kits (interior/exterior/both number of each etc)
3) Your complete shipping info.

Based on my requirements, I think the earliest I can get these done would early to mid-october.

Follow-up Post:

Oh yeah, paypal at jimcheney(at)hotmail.com

And I've been around here awhile, people know me, I'm not a scam artist

I didn't either, until 10 minutes ago. Painless, just never needed it before. But I've crossed over to the dark side for this

Count me in for two sets. I'll need one for my soft top, and another for the wife's station wagon. I've been meaning to get stainless kits for these trucks for a while now, and this certainly seems like the best time to finally do it! Thanks for the effort to put all these kits together!

Cheers,

Mike

It depends on what extra you want - I'm doing a kit for JB's 110, but he wants roll-cage bolts and no door bolts. I guess you want door bolts, but no roll cage. I'm going to check out my 110 and see what else is required and then I can quote you - just let me know any special requirements you might have.

I would be in for both kits, but want a quote for the 110 as well, with no roll cage.

Thanks

Pat

Are these the POZIDRIV factory style bolts? If so, I would love a door and hood set for my SW.
