My mantec rubber hose has a few abrasions and small holes in it. Any recommendations on restoring it so its safe for wading before resorting to replacement?

Gorilla duct tape.

And if you're seriously testing the waterproofness of any snorkel...you'll have other issues to address!

already have breathers on everything (axles, time case, tcase, tranny, fuel tank), all tied to a breather manifold that runs up the snorkel.

I replaced them all with a diesel engine.

Black 3m silicone and lightly sand around the holes. Won't look pretty but it does seal if they are small. Otherwise I could use some aluminum patches and then silicone them on.

Seriously, are you going wading in depths over 700mm deep?

Are you planning some Camel Toephy style river crossings?

Did you mean to say 3M 5200? I don't think silicone would really do the job, but 5200 would, as it's marine-grade.

Geez. The raised intake is for the unplanned, not planned. I dont look for trouble, but when crossings have a missed hole, or an area gets flooded, i dont want to hydrolock. Wtf? Theres more than uwharrie out there to explore.

Colunbia, SC is 1hr south of me. Are you watching the news? SUV's at the mall there need snorkels right now.
