Installing Wing

How do you get the wing back on LHD driver's side?

I couldn't get it on as-is, so I pulled the thing apart so I'm only working with the interior wheel arch, but I'm still not able to squeeze it back in there. What am I missing here?

Not sure how fitting the wing would be problematic.

You can't get the galvanized wheel arch back on ? Were you the one who removed it ?

I could be wrong (it happened once before) but I think there's just 2 bolts and a couple fender washers that hold the inner wheel arch to the frame.
Another 1 or 2 to firewall maybe.

Or is fitting the outer fender to the inner and bulkhead the issue??

Maybe some pictures would help see where you are having a clash?

Another Stupid Question: Wing Install

OK, so I took the shock tower off, and got the inner wing in place. However, after wrestling with it all day, I can't get it lined up correctly.

I finally got the four screws (two at the bottom of each end of the inner wheel arch) in, but now it is out of line every place else.

I'll post pictures in the post below:

You can see how badly lined up it is up front, although the bolt is in place.

You can see how badly lined up it is at the bulkhead and at the shock tower.

And you can see that the bolt head to the frame bracket in the aft section of the wheel well is still not lined up. You can't see that there is a 1 inch gap there as well.

Not sure why these were all separate threads but they've been merged.

Its been pretty easy to see that you've been a little stressed out by your Rover's "non compliance" recently.

Three? I now remember the one from two days ago, but I really didn't remember the third.

Here is another way to look at it.

At the left hand side bolt in this picture (forward on frame) the hole in the wing is too far forward.

The right hand side in this picture (aft on frame) shows the bolt hole too far back.

If either of these two are lined up, the other is far from working, and the bolts to bulkhead are far from working either way.

I removed the skin from the galvanized arch because I could not get the wing on the truck till I did that. The four bolts that attach the skin to the arch are in place, but skewed so that the skin is too far forward now.

My question really is what bolt should I lock in place first, then next, then... Because I assume it needs to be wrapped into place.

Is there anyone who can comment on how they have gone about attaching the LH side wing with 300Tdi?

As a whole? Inner wing first? Should I take the three outer panels apart as well?

I always leave the upper and outer wing attached to one another and leave the galvanized inner fender attached to the truck (V8 NAS). After I attached the wing back to the truck, at the bulkhead first, I then have to finesse the galvanized inner fender well to line up to put the screws back in. I have never had alignment issues so I am not sure what exactly is happening to you...
