Installing Trucklite LED - dumb question ...

So they come with this little tube of gunk/grease. What's that for?

You're supposed to get that before you buy them. Makes paying so much for headlights a little easier, so to speak...

Seriously, I thought it was for the rubber thing that goes over the connector, so it seals?

Dielectric grease. It goes on the terminal ends to keeps out moisture and stops the electrical connection from corroding. Just spread it on the male connectors and put some on the female connectors too and plug them together.
