Increasing diff lock linkage throw

I've been running without diff lock linkage since the engine swap. I finally got a bent link from a board member and went to go install... Now I'm finding that my lever isn't actually unlocking the diff. The throw (to the right) does not go far enough to bring the diff lock cam back to 12'o clock / front of the vehicle.

To show the distance I need, I removed the upper linkage pin and manually engaged the cam to take it out of lock. You can see in the photo that I need another 3-4mm of throw. I have toyed with trying to hear and bend the main lever but am wary of breaking it. Am I missing an adjustment option somewhere?

No ajustments, is the nipple lever flat or kinked up as in the picture?

I think I have an early 77 linkage. Let me look and get back with you.

On mine (or it might have been an older gearbox) the "pivot" shaft is threaded, where it screws into the side of the gearbox casing, so you can adjust it. Not sure how it'll affect the throw though, as I've never needed to adjust it.

As said above, there's a couple of different arms available, one is "C" section type, and the other if flat bar with a very mild Z kink in it.
