Ignition Wiring?

In the below photo does anyone know what wire 3 connects to? We have it marked on the ignition and it is disconnected becuase as soon as we connect it, it blows the big fuse in the big fuse box. We figure this means that it is either going to something that is wired right to the main fuse box, or the wire has a short. The white wire is part of a big harness that goes behind the dash and we don't want to cut into it and tear open the dash if we don't have to.

Thanks
Chris and his friend Randy

#3 wire, White, is the ignition switched power output from the switch that feeds a lot of things in the fuse box.
Brown is the power into the switch from the maxi-fuse under the hood.
White/Red is the starter relay trigger and the white/orange is the accessory switched power.

As too why it blows the fuse...? Could be lots of things. Make sure you have the positions on the ignition switch right and then dig out the multi-meter.
