Ignition Amplifier

Sorry to start a new thread. Does anyone know if their is a GM part for the ignition amplifier (STC1184). Also, it looks like the low cost option for a relocation kit from AB is no longer available. Other than the expensive genuine does anyone have personal experience with any of the other kits out there?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Recollection is the important part of the relo kit is a dummy amplifier to mount on the side of the dizzy so you have something to plug the lead from the remote mounted amplifier to.

So if you relocate can you simple unplug the wiring and leave the old amp attached to the dizzy?

Orders the amp off eBay from lucky 8. $21 shipped

Does jumping the truck with a dead battery fry these? I've gone through a lot of them while chasing an ignition problem and killing the battery.
