If you could pick out a new winch bumper -- what would you pick?

Some idiot smacked into my parked 1994 D90 and fortunately didn't do any harm to my vehicle other than to mess up the paint on my winch brush guard/bumper. I was never really a fan of the current one and now the insurance company is letting me pick out a new one with skid plate to accommodate my Warn XD9000 winch.

I'm considering going with something that is lower profile (no head lamp protection) that keeps the grille and "Land Rover" lettering above the grill and just below the hood visible.

I've done a lot of Googling, but wondered it any of you could let me know what your favorite choice(s) would be if you were buying one.

Thanks

To me it depends on how the truck is built. A mostly stock truck looks better with an ARB, while I think a truck on 35's looks silly with an ARB. If its built for mostly off road use, a Rockware or similar is the way to go in my opinion.

Do you actually offroad the truck or is your decision based purely on aesthetics?

I just bought it recently and do have plans to offroad it -- admittedly though, not pushing it to its limits. Primary duty will be as a daily driver so aesthetics are probably more of a factor here than offroad functionality.

chroming is illegal in Washington State, we have to go to a less environmentally conscience state like Cali to have our chroming done. which makes things super hard for me.

Rockware. I've bounced off trees with it.

I used to have a BRB bar on my old 90, then fitted it to my current 110 (BRB is sold by David Bowyer, he of the winch godliness, very similar to the ARB one)

But the older I got, the more I thought it looked OTT on the 110... especially with a full external cage. (it had an 8274 on it), so on i've changed the winch to a Husky 8000 (the 8274 is now on the 90) and both the 110 & 90 are using factory mounts. the 90 I managed to get the old school LR 8274 bucket mount... looks very retro and neat:

Attached pic is the 110 with the husky.

Cheers.

O/T.... sorry....

I built the 110 back in 2010 ish. it was going to be my "long distance overlander"... (Well, it might still be someday), but i did it wather too nicely, the metallic paintwork (Was) quite nice back then (Although it could definately do with a rib down and respray now... corrosion due to the lame paint job the spray people did) but it gets used as a "car" more often now, since i've got a crappier company van. so I took the 255's off, dropped the suspension back to normal height and added side steps so SWMBO can get in and out easily, and as the thread title suggests, took the BRB bar off and fitted a lowline model.

Hence building the 90... which I finished earlier this year. Built it as a pure wheeling machine, so creature comforts are minimal, but off road fun is max! (although i'm taking the soft top off soon in favour of a hard top... fed up with the dust everywhere!!)

Both are Td5's. 90 will get tuned as soon as I find a flashable ECU at a sensible price.
