OK I had a thread earlier whining about how I can't figure out how to support a radio/CD unit from the rear in a Td5 dash. Now I see from some dash parts on eBay UK that I may be missing a piece. I have cropped from the bigger pic the part that I need. It seems to be a plastic panel, hand sized, that is fixed at the back of the central dash aperture. In this pic it also has a short length of perforated silver metal screwed to it, I guess it would have attached to a radio to support it from the rear. So, can anyone ID the plastic bit that I have cropped here? It does not seem to show up on the parts diagram I have seen for a Td5 dash.

There is no tapeworm in my dash, but yes, if you don't have the plastic panel with the hole in it, then you are missing a part. That's what supports the peg on the back of the radio.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

Ah OK. Got it. FHF000020 is the part. Yet another bit of plastic that cost three pence to manufacture and is now an insane amount of money from all parts suppliers.
