I want to swap out my 94 NAS ST doors for roll up windows

I'm not sure if I can just get a pair of 94-97 SW doors to swap out or if they need to be from a specific year. My defender doors are shot and this would be a sweet change since I have the removable hard top already on. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

One post on this, I will then be parting out my doors. The skins are in great shape, and the RHS door too.

I have a 95 and replaced my doors with 2010's. They work great.

I haven't done this so I don't know for sure, but aren't the door strikers to keep the door closed in different locations? Also, with '94's your door stop (the little thing that keeps the door open but doesn't really on the '94s) is different than the other years, and may require some modification for the SW doors.

What condition are your door tops?

Are you trying to get rid of them?

That's a good question on the 94 regarding the door striker. I imagine that I could have the striker moved anyway if it doesn't line up. Where did you source the 2010 doors through?

I will be selling my doors as soon as I source the replacements. They're in good shape, but need a little love.

the door strikers are different and in a different location and 94 has a dfferent catch.

other wise they will bolt on

i have some SW doors $750 for the pair off a 1997 NAS SW Id call them a 7.5 out of 10

I am working on swapping my doors out this weekend. It seems relatively simple to swap out on a 94. I will just need to get the doors keyed the same. Can you get them keyed the same as the ignition??? It would be nice to carry one key.

Matthew- I got my doors from Safarirover but a bit more costly then Ron is selling them for but a 10 out of 10.

On a 94 you will have to get the correct door checks or else you risk creasing your bulkhead when your door flops open. 95+ soft tops and all station wagons use the type of checks you need. No worries, they just bolt on. Soft top tubs already have the holes for the SW-type door strikers, so that is a bolt-on affair too. Its a good swap if you dont much care for taking your door tops off or if sliding windows isnt your thing.

They do require new strikers (and I repalced the hinges & hardware with new TD5 stuff while I was at it). I also got them re-keyed to the ignition key, so yes, that can be done too. Great upgrade IMHO.
