I searched, I swear, for hardtop removal

I found a number of posts re: installing a D90 fiberglass roof. What about the taking it off?? Just follow the instructions in reverse?

Yes.
And go slowly. I would start by loosening all the top bolts first and those along the windshied. Mine had 1 top piece, 2 side pieces, 2 corner pieces, and a pain in the arse rear door.
I do recall the rear hinged door was the hardest to figure out.
I think I took out the rear door first, the sides second (resting the top on the safari frame).
