Husky 10 with Warn Remote??

I heard somewhere that it was possible to hook up a Warn remote control up to a Husky 10 winch.

Has anyone done this? I have the older style Husky remote control which I am about to replace because it is broken and I want to consider my options.
I understand the Warn remote is nicer and Superwinch actually imitated the Warn style a little bit on their newer remotes, which are not compatible with the older style solenoid box/remote control of the Husky 10.

Or did I just imagine all this? It happens occasionally.

Thanks,
Jay

If you cut the connector off of one your old Husky I am sure you can use a warn switch if you splice the cable, do you have a pic of what the connector on the husky looks like?

I was too general before... The connector on the husky control has a failed pin (half of it has broken off), so i have to fiddle with the connection for the winch to work... so the real soln i guess is for me to buy the new husky connector part alone if that is possible.
I haven't seen what the connector of the Warn looks like, but here are some pics of the older style Husky.
It would be nice if I could find a way to use a better style of remote.

The connector looks different then a Warn, so yup you need to replace the connector.

I had the exact same problem with my remote that came with my S9. The pins are definately the weak link. They can easily be repalced. I purchased new pins at a local HW store and replaced. I also bought a Heady Duty remote that Superwinch offers. Definately worth the money!!! Now I carry two remotes. I use the HD one and use the original as a back up.

Appreciate all the feedback fellas.
I just got off the phone with the Superwinch techs because I was having a hell of a time finding the right pin for a replacement... long story short...
Superwinch now sells their Heavy Duty (Warn Style) remote with the old style plug... $49.
If you are looking for replacement pins, they will send some to you for no charge as well.
