How to remove channel to remove seat skins

What is the trick to removing the seat back skins. I see there is a channel like connection at the bottom. I don't want to just pull it apart.....is there a correct way to remove this or should I just pull.

Thanks
Rich

I just pulled mine ... although I was replacing the seat backs and wasn't concerned about damage. Be careful on old seats as the seams can get a bit brittle and tear.
