i am making my defender like the fire edition the only problem i have got is fixing the svx on them
but thnx to u guys i have the answer
I am soon to have the same problem!!! I was told by a couple of people that 1-1/4" spacers would fix the issue. Where did you find the discovery axles? Can you change out the enitire rear end?
Yes u change the rear axle my mechanic tolled me some parts need welding
But for me i will change the rear axle its cheaper than buying the spacers cause shipping the spacer to my country is costing me more thn there original price
I will post a picture as soon as the car be ready its in the garage for painting
All of the extrior will be replaced with original svx grille original svx side steps original svx headlight svx rear lights
All of this items are original not like the kbx grille no original svx grille
I will post some pics as soon as the car ready scoot
Welding ? Shouldn't need any. The disco axle is a direct bolt in replacement, you pick up the 24 spline axle shafts and rear disc brakes-nice upgrade and only takes a couple of hours. The local pick and pull yard here sells them for $100.
I found an complete rearend today from a dicso 1. Will it bolt in or do I have to weldup any parts. Or can i just swap out the axels and reuse my current housing? Which is the best in the long run? I have a 1992 Tdi defender.
