How much does a chassis weigh?

Just out of curiosity (because I have no intentions of doing anything this major right now) how much does a chassis for a 90 weigh?

I called a local galvanizing place and the guy on the phone said that with the prep work required for a chassis that still has most of it's paint on, that it would be $0.69 per pound, after it's galvanized, with a $250 minimum. He said to add about 6% to the weight to get the "after" weight.

Also, how much does a bulkhead weigh?

Bulkhead is ~55lbs stripped
Chassis is about 330lbs (+ whatever rust and dirt is in the frame rails…)

O/T.... when I got my 110 armoured (ex military) chassis galvanized, when I got it back total weight was 276KG!!!

It certainly doesn't twist on x-axle situations LOL!

330-350 sounds right to me as skinny me can lift the front or back when I was doing my chassis
