How I spent my weekend

Replace water pump. Install new head gaskets both sides. New ignition amplifier. Replace bad tappet and push rod. Change oil. Replace coolant.

Starting up again on first crank...priceless.

Replaced my rusted out tank skid plate with new safari rover plate. Broke off 4 of the 6 bolts. Had to drill and re-tap them. Priceless.

And, once it was done, you probably loved every minute.

Fitted scrounged y-pipe ( thanks JimC ), replaced heater matrix and treated the old girl to the jet wash!

Went most of the way up and then down the other side of Cottonwood pass with no brakes. Laid under my D110 in the parking lot of the CarQuest auto parts store in Buena Vista removing rusted right rear brake line. Installed new line. Bled brakes with my 7 year old at the pedals.

Kudos to your kid! I have 30 somethings that can't do that simple task! Idiots!

I feel ya, I put in a reconditioned radiator, thermostat, upper and lower hose, power steering pump and so far everything went well except I threaded the damn high pressure line hose and so that stopped everything. Waiting for a new one (and keeping one extra as a spare) from British pacific this week.
