How do you start stand alone engine?

Hi guys,

How do I start stand alone engine? 200tdi if that information is needed.

Connect fuel line to any container of diesel and just crank a away?

12V to the fuel stop cutoff.

The following is my educated guess: Priming the lift pump might be a good idea. If I had to do it I'd likely use a 12v pump or a hand pump with a line filter to the inlet side of whatever is present from the fuel system. If you get it running turn off your 12v pump to see if the lift pump is doing its thing.

Probably already thought of this but don't forget water if you are going to run it for more than a minute. May also need to account for oil if it's set up to push out to an oil cooler.
