Hot Condition then Fault 44
So the truck sits idleing for 30-40 minutes yesterday while I'm winching the sailboat around. The truck is showing a pegged out hot condition. OFF. OFF, OFF! It cools downs some, and I dare a short drive to move some air across the beast. Temp comes down to 60% +. Normal is steady at 50%. But the dreaded Check Engine light is on. Fault code 44. Left Bank oxygen sensor. Why in the world did it get so hot in 65 degree weather while idleing, and is the oxygen sensor really the issue?
