How does the mirror mount? It doesn't look like it uses the standard Gentex 'wedge' stick-on screen mount.

I used the factory mount. Just pulled the factory mirror, slid on the Gentex. very simple. The only thing I changed was the Gentex set screw was about 2mm short of fully engaging the dimple on the factory glass mount. So I simply replaced it with one that was exactly 2mm longer.

I've never paid any attention to NAS soft-top factory mirror bracket before but they are different from the Hardtop version. Does anyone know whether the Gentex mirror will snap onto the ball on the end of the hardtop mirror bracket?

Its a NAS vs. ROW thing I think rather than a ST vs. SW. NAS uses a US standard fitting bonded to the windshield. ROW uses a roof mounted bracket with a longer arm. Itís probably a DOT requirement or something.

The new mirror comes with the entire bracket, you don't separate them at the ball.
