High Beams cause Radio to short out...

Hello All,
just got the Defender (from Aaron in NC) and all seems well so far. The only issue I can find is that the high beams cause the radio to short out... any ideas? I'm thinking i'll just rewire the radio from scratch this weekend regardless and check all grounds/cables/battery. Any other tips?

other than that -

Is the radio stock? If it's an aftermarket unit, I'd check at the column. I bet someone used the high beam wire for power to the radio. It will be a blue wire with a white tracer(stripe). Look there. Also, check your grounds.... post what you find.
