Question Hi lift mounted on Roll Cage

First time posting on this forum, I have often visited and been amazed at the following 90's have in the USA.

Any way my question is about a hi lift mount that fits to an external roll cage, it uses 4 'U' Bolts I think.
I saw it on an American site and was wanting to study it's construction.
Please point me in the right direction.

Thanks Iain O

Iain,

Welcome to the crazy world of NAS D90s (and 110s). As you probably know, we can't have any new Defenders here anymore and as they say "grass is always greener on the other side". The enthusiasts tend to go a bit nuts on them.

The Hi-Lift mount that you were talking about is probably this:

Aparently, they don't make them anymore. I hope that somewhat helped. Goodluck!

Cheers Mike,
I think some fabricating will be happening soon.

Just need to find some S/Steel U Bolts. They being the only things that wouldn't rust.

i never understood why they stopped producing them. so many people have requested them just to be turned down that it's apparent there's a demand for them. even if someone wasn't planning on mounting their jack like that, it's still a nice option to keep in your backpocket since the expense isn't great and it could help you out in a tight spot.

I just want my Hi Lift some where out of the road as mounting them in other locations seems to be a bit of a compromise
Inside - near floor mounted against seat box - reduces usable floor area and trip hazard for rear passengers
On Spare wheel carrier - Could get caught on ground as it hangs below spare wheel, which can also catch the ground.
Across front on A Bar - restricts forward vision

The only other location I thought of that would be okay as long as the inside of 90 was not too full was putting it across the rear bulk head. Then again this may be difficult to get it in and out etc.

I think puting it on the Roll cage is best for me.
