Hi all, help needed please..

First off, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I'm a UK member and really struggeling to find long travel coilovers or shocks, the biggest shock over here is 14'' Ideally I want 16'' to 18'' and in a coilover, is there any USA sites like Ebay?

Does anybody have any old/odd/or leaky coilovers laying up the corner they want to sell?

All help appreciated guys.

Many thanks,

Sam.

A lot of times I look for parts in the German eBay or UK eBay. Of course only when RN doesn't have them in stock. . Many listers will ship international but don't list auctions internationally.

Same here... lots of Defenders listed on eBay in the UK and not the .com site. .co.uk sites.

I know about ebay yes, what i meant was is there any little sites similar to Ebay just dedicated to to the USA? We have lots over here.

Its really annoying looking at all the US prices then comparing them with our prices, on coilovers, bilstein or Avo, want nearly 4 times the price over here!!

Going to be so much cheaper to import, or buy second hand from the US.

You can check the vendor section here on D90 and find guys that will ship you anything that is available here in the USA. I would think that more than 14 inches of travel would put you into the specialty market and not made for the Rovers so you may have to engineer mounts.

NEW:

If you know what you want eshocks might be the way to go.

I doubt they will know about LR specific applications so do your research and order what you need.

Im only using land rover chassis, engine and gearbox, this is a total chassis upwards build, with the intention of having enough travel to overcome any obstacle, enough ground clearance for the same purpose, and enough power to plough through the mud bogs.

This is no build for the faint hearted

Thank you, i never knew about the vendor section on here, thats very, very useful

Cheers

Sam.

www.pirate4x4.com is the place to find the right vendor for that. I have no idea why you would need to run greater than 14in of travel, but they make coil overs for monster trucks so I am sure someone over there will point you in the right direction.

Thanks, I want to run more than 14'' as 14 just isnt enough, it may be plenty in Utah on nice grippy rock, but over here in Modified trial its not enough, i need all 4 wheels on the ground for traction and all 4 wheels need to be sprung, an un sprung wheel floating round in the air is useless to anybody.. Its a competition vehicle I'm building, so I'm building it to win (hopefully)

Cheers

Sam.

The irony of this statement is beyond my mere mortal capacity of comprehension...

haha, was just going to say that.

2nd or 3rd the Pirate4x4.com comment. If you want hardcore shit - start at the Land Rover forum and then work from there. Tons of off-road people from around the earth post on that board.
