I do feel a bit taken on the price. the (russian) guy i bought it from thought he knew LRs cause he had a 67 Mini and "they are both british, ya?" so he originally asked for $10k. I pointed out a few things that would immediately need replacement and asked him if he wanted to discount the price for me to do them or if he wanted to fix them himself. (oddly, the DOT folks won't pass a vehicle that has the passenger side seat belt GLUED TOGETHER AFTER BEING CUT.)

He saw the logic in my proposal.

Seems like lots of you guys want me to change the wheel arches back to proper Solihill arches, but you know, i really like the ones that are on there.
They are the most ghetto wheel arches on earth and you can't see it from the pics, but it's two-layers of diamond-plate, with a piece of cord-reinforced rubber (7mm thick) sandwiched in between, each held in place by 2766 allen head bolts.
i'm keeping them.

BTW, Mullet Activated, Achievement unlocked.

The biggest problem with the hipster overpopulation out here is that you need to remember to lead them LESS than other .....umm.....targets, as then can't move very fast in their skinny jeans.
You don't want to just wing one of them, they travel in packs.....

and with regards to wearing stuff under the kilt, it's regimental all the way.

The 24v lamp indicates your truck was either fitted with a 24v alternator for radio batteries (ffr)or the gauge cluster has been swapped with one from a truck so fitted.

I've been to Jak's a bunch of times, and while it's good, I have to confess that i'm decidedly an El Gaucho guy.

The Hunt's Brunch at Gaucho Bellevue is one of the best meals you will ever have in your life.
Period.

Perhaps a seattle-area defender gathering is in order at El Gaucho.
