Help removing hose ZZ

Think I traced a coolant leak to the hose pictured below. I have a significant leak that starts once the motor is warmed up; a pool of fluid seems to be accumulating right underneath the distributor. And there's an audible hiss. I think this hose is the culprit (behind the distributor, not the large hose on top that leads to the radiator), but being new to Defenders I'd appreciate your help (1) confirming that this is a coolant hose, and (2) any suggestions on removing it ...

Help removing hose ZZ

------ Follow up post added February 1st, 2014 01:15 PM ------

Finally found a free moment to tackle this project. Getting the hose off what quite a bit of work, and getting it back on doesn't seem any easier. I coated the inside of the new hose with some dish soap, but there's so little room to work.

I remove the distributor rotor, but can't get the assembly off. I know I'm missing something. If I could get the distributor out of the way, things would be much easier!

I tried heating up the hose with a hair dryer and that's helped get it started. Another inch to go ...
