Exclamation HELP! In need of reliable transport/ shipper

I need a reliable and reasonable referal for a transport/ shipping company or owner op. I have a 110 that I need to get from N.C. to Oregon as soon as possible (befor the 6th of Jan.). So far Iv been screwed over by two different shippers and I am getting frustrated to say the least . Does anybody have a good reference or know a shipper that I could call on? Thanks to all, Take Care. J.

I know of at least one d110 that is cannonballing across country after Christmas - maybe some forum members will jump in and drive it for you in exchange for expenses! You might have to pull the doors off first though...

You didnt happen to buy a yellow 110 did you?

No I bet I know which one you're talking about though ...this is not a Copley-ECR if thats the 1 youre thinkn of, as much as I wish it to be. Its more a less a project truck but has a lot of nice potential. Pull the doors off??? Who is that making that trip?... wasnt there a thread that mentioned something about that. Anyway Thanks for the thought Jim I appreciate the help.

I, as well as friends, have used www.dasautoshippers.com. They seem to be very reliable.

Does it run? I'm guessing you could find someone to drive it for you...

David thanks and Jesse yes it does run, however the wings...well the whole front clip is off, and it only has a pair of vice grips for a steering wheel...power steering so its no big deal to move it around a bit but not 3000 miles. Theres an issue with the steering column, namely its a UK type so none of the NAS stuff will fit and my Momo wont work as well. George at RDS has been awol since the big one hit the big easy and as such I havnt been able to tell him I need to exchange the wheel with him, hence the reason Im not driving it, and David I too have used DAS and always found them very good and reliable...only prob. is, this time they will only transport the truck as an in-operable because of the steering wheel issue. This of course means ..much more $ and much more time. So there you have it ..... Matt I'll give your guys a call ...Thanks all for the info and David I'll let you know if I end up breaking out the big wallet for DAS. Only thing with DAS is generally what they promise they deliver.

Perhaps someone has a UK steering wheel...On Dec 4th this message was posted with the title 'Steering Wheel Sleeve':

I bought a brand new UK steering wheel off eBay and got it yesterday.
I went to put it on today and no go.
It is a little bite to big.
Does anyone know where I could get a sleeve to adapt the wheel the the steering column.
I think that some of you have this wheel.
Its the flat one that you can put a land rover badge in the center.
Any help would be great I will post pics of the wheel on monday

Rob thanks so much that is awesome info!!! You guys are always such a great resource... I will talk with my buddy where my truck is now in N.C., and see what the deal is exactly...If anyone out there is reading this and you have one of these UK wheels and its takin up room, Id be very appreciative! Rob I'll try and research that thread, Thanks again for the tip. Im sure George@RDS has the wheel I need, but Im sure as well he more worried about getting his phone and power turned back on. In any case Im sure this project will come together soon ....provided I get the damn truck shipped to where I am....Still lookinng for a shipper, Ill be making some calls tomorrow.
