Help: Defender 200 TDI Belt Replacements

I'm stuck. Had some belts break on a trip tonight. Lost the tach, then power steering, then looked at the dash and temp had just hit the front tick mark in the red (not sure how long it was there). short time later green rain is hitting windshield. Pulled over and both the drive belt and alternator belts are gone. PS belt still there but probably slipping. Not sure where the coolant is coming from yet- hope I didn't F-up the water pump. Engine starts and runs fine (just checked it). Need to get this back on the road tomorrow.

Does anyone know of NAPA (or equivalent) replacement belt #s until I can order genuines on Monday?

Thanks!

There is zero need to get a "genuine" belt. One belt is as good as the next.

You need to find the cause of the failure. Check that the alternator and water pump spin free. Buy two sets of belts.

The PS belt probably slipped from get covered in coolant, so just make sure it is tight.

Obviously top up the coolant and get extra.

Hopefully you did not kill the head. They do not take well to overheating.

Thanks John- appreciate it.

Well turned out not t o be the belts- at least, not the original cause of failure. Looks like a hole in the bottom of the rad leaked coolant on the drive belt, causing crank pulley to spin and burn the belt up; probably overheated and caused the rupture you see in the pic, spewing coolant on the PS belt- at least that's what I think happened. Spent yesterday removing everything in preparation for a new rad I'll be ordering tomorrow from RN. Hoping all this work doesn't lead me to find cracked/ leaking head.
