Question Hella Vision Lamps

Has anyone change their regular (7") headlamps to the Hella Vision Plus Lamps?

Conversions are 49.00 ea @ RN

http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell...ision_Plus.jsp

If so is it worth the $?

Considerable improvement?

Thanks!

Yes. They are a nice improvement over the stock lamps. Easy to install. Just be careful of your connectors. While your at it, clean the marker and turn signal lights and replace as needed. RDS has all of them for cheap. Bezels are 38 bucks as well.

Susquehanna Motorsports they have everything you need. They are also in the vendors list.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...read.php?t=820

I have the E-codes and they are much better then stock. I also upgraded to 110/85 watt bulbs. You need to also upgrade the wiring and throw a relay in there so you don't burn out the switch.

Larry,
I have the Hella Vision Headlights...I like them a lot better than the stock. Made a big difference...Out in the country i used to drive with all 6 of my Rally 1000's on late at night but now those Visions Headlights made a big difference. I think they were worth every penny....

These are great. First mod I made on the TDi 90 and the 110. I prefer the non-DOT pattern, but the DOT pattern is still an improvement over stock.

Cheers,
Nick.

You need to be sitting in water that goes at least 1/2 way up the headlamps. I practice this way too oftend.

Bringing up some old stuff here. I was looking around the forums but seems like most chat is about the e code and higher watt bulbs.

My question do these need the harness modifications if they are the Hellas Vision Plus DOT lights with the stock(60/55) bulbs?

Sounds like yes if you are upgrading bulbs, but not totally clear on if you don't.

I also read that the headlight harness addition improves the light quality, so not a bad idea, but just wondering overall.

Thanks,
Pete

I run these and I am very happy. The only thing better is HID or LED. The LED's look like shit.

No harness upgrades as I have been running them for years and no problems.

I am running E-Codes in my truck with the 60/55 bulbs and made my own upgraded harness kit...huge improvement over stock! got my E-Codes from Susquehanna (http://rallylights.com/) and the parts for my harness from Eastern Beaver (http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Bi...om/vstrom.html).

Hi, Dan-

RDS= Rovers Down South in New Orleans. George at RDS is a great guy who always has a wacky story or comment, and is super to work with. He'll have replacement marker/signal lights is what Eric was referring to.

I also did the Hella E-code/H4 upgrade and used the Painless upgraded lighting harness I found new online for a great deal. I couldn't have made a harness from parts for less than I paid. All of it was worthwhile and a big improvement on my 94ST.
