Hella 4000 Light switch

Hi,
I want to change my switch for my Hella 4000's. I'm using the hella wiring harness and was hoping to use a rocker switch like this I saw on amazon. Does it matter which switch I use?

Thanks

I am sure others will chime in, but make sure you get a two position on-off, and not a three position or momemtary on switch.

I see most of the the switches I see have three pins on the back while I only need 2.

You can use the Carling switch without any problems (this is how i have my Hella's switched)...just follow the wiring diagram and as Jonathan said, make sure you get a simple on-off switch.

That should work fine.

Here are some more options with different colored illumination choices and labelled:

Blue

Green

Amber

There are 2 lights on these so you can wire them up so that 1 lights up with the dash lamps and the other only when it is turned on. Or you can just leave them unwired, up to you.

HTH

I have the green Carling...they work great...you just need a second power to run the light on the switch.

I would use a factory land rover switch. They are like $30 but look exactly like the ones for the dimmer.
