Hella 4000

I bought a set of Hella 4000's from another member on the board, however when I got them today I can't seem to see how they are going to fit. I have the oem wraparound brush bar, with the extra oem light bar attatchment. When I try to put these lights on, they seem WAY to big, and they aim to the ground. Even when I adjust the light adjustment, it presses really hard against the grill. I'm not sure what I should do.

Put little tabs on the light bar to move them forward.

I have aluminum tabs from when I had Hella 4000s. It pushes the lights out a inch or so for them to clear the grill.

no need for them now.

I'll send them w/ your speedo cable.

The 4000's are deeper than the 3000's iirc the oem brushbar and light bar that the hella's attach to were designed for the 3000 series back in the day

Sounds like you have it solved so I won't bother taking pictures - but I just made little tabs to move them toward center and forward. Basically just a short metal strap with 2 holes in it.

Awesome, thanks a lot Jeff. By the way how is Vails' snow this year. I used to live in Aspen, and I know they are having a record year, boy do I miss living up there.

Kenny,
Glad you got it figured out. I saw some metal that you could use at Home Depot the other day. They have pieces of steel, and aluminum in the hardware section near the screws.

You wouldn't believe how much snow is up here. Hasn't snowed a lot in the last week, but it's still easy to find waist deep pow.
