heater core replacement with A/C

I am looking to replace my heater core on a 97 D90 with A/C. I have searched the threads and in the FAQ but cannot find anything on trucks with A/C. I cannot locate the upper or lower bolts mentioned in the FAQ section. It appears that my rivets have been replaced with screws, I looked at removing the core while in place but it doesn't look that it will clear the above sill. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

What do you mean replace the heater core with AC? The heater core is located in the box in the engine compartment and the AC is an add-on under-dash unit. If you want to add AC, bolt in the underdash one. I dont know anyone that has converted a stock heater box into an HVAC unit.

Jim, I think he is trying to replace his heater core and needs to remove the AC Evap, but needs assistance in doing so....

Artm and maybe Hippert might be able to shed some light on the subject for you...
