headlight issues - seeking some advice
My '88 110 (RHD, V8) started showing some electric issues and wanted to get some advice before I starting tearing into it.
Everything was working fine until yesterday
First the front headlight quit (low beam) but high beam still worked
checked bulb - all was well
checked fuses - OK seems like there is power to the fuse box for each light
I started flicking the headlight switch and if I leave it on, the LEFT headlight quits all together (high and low) but if I shut everything off for a couple minutes the left works fine but no matter what the right low beam is inop.
Wiring behind the lights looks intact.
I suspect its the switch on the steering column and I have a new replacement but thought I'd see if anyone thought I should start somewhere else.
Also when I flip the headlight switch on/off I here another click (relay?) that sounds like its coming from behind the instrument cluster - What is that? I figured the wiring from the light switch would go straight to the fuse box or lights but it sounds like another electric part in the panel related to the lights. Can anyone tell me about that?
Appreciate all your help - Thanks
