Headaches after driving? Exhaust maybe

I get a pretty bad headache after driving around and I can't figure out why. There's a faint smell of something (not sulfery) but I can't make out what it is. Also, I have a fastback with a pretty drafty top. Does anyone driving at higher speeds, with an open-style D-90 have exhaust gases recirculating in a back-draft back into the cab?

Any solutions?

Thanks all!

where is the exhaust outlet? Pretty common problem when it comes straight out the back, and rolls over the tailgate. Also, does the exhaust tip extend past the body enough?

Glad to hear that it's a common problem
Current the tail pipe exhausts at a 45 degree angle at the rear/driver-side corner. Thats about 6 inches behind the rear wheel, 3 inches INSIDE the bodywork.

But, how to I fix it?
Should I extend the tail pipe? Angle the tailpipe so that it points down?

I like the 'look' of a tailpipe exiting in front of the rear wheel, BUT I'll re-pipe it so that fuction takes precidence over looks.

As an alternative, when was the last time you had your eyes checked? Eye strain causes headaches.

If you want to rule out the exhaust, sleeve the tip so that it extends an inch or so outside the body and see if it improves. Then you can stay cheap with a exhaust tip, or fix properly knowing thats the problem.

When I first got my 110 I noticed a similar problem I put a seal on the back door (big gaps) and it went away.

Check for leaks at both ends of the Y pipe. Mine failed the annual safety inspection due to a leak from those places.
