Hazard switch problem

i took apart my dash to get to a few things. Install a head unit and mud consul, enlarge the heater inlet in the bulkhead, Dynamat and so on. While doing this the hazard switch basically fell apart as I was pulling the lower dash out so I ordered a new one, popped it in. The hazards work like they are supposed to but now when I try to use the turn signal it just flashes like I turned the hazards on. Before the switch fell apart the turn signals worked like they were supposed to. Is there a way I can bypass the hazard switch so at least my blinkers work until I figure out the problem? Any thoughts?

thanks, Jason

Hey Jay. Month I had a similar problem w my D90. I had removed the center- clock/cig lighter/hazard switch to see if I could fix the clock. When I ran out of time and could not reinstall it all until the next wkend I found myself driving with out turn signals all wk.

That said I would assume your theroy is correct. Somehow you can by pass the hazard switch. But how is a good question.

Silly question but did you re-connect the two side wires on the Haz. switch?

Those are for the lamp inside the switch.

Broadstone, that was exactly what I was looking for, thanks. I had seen that once before but could not find it again.

It was an OEM, I got it from George at RDS, I think. I may have just got a bad one or something, I jumped the switch and the turn signals are working now. I put the new LEDs from Lucky8 in too, what a difference!

Anyone have a part number for the 12v relay for the indicators that go behind the fuse panel?

Napa guy drew a blank when I took my relay to the store

He's going to order a couple of options for me to look at tomorrow but wondering if someone has something definitive

I've got 15 days to get the 110 inspected and hope to get it dine this weekend if I can track down my horn and turn signal issues

Thanks

Unless the lucky 8 ones are different, the stock flasher will not work with LEDs. All the lights will flash together I believe.

I forget the right one but it's on ECRs site I believe. If not, search threads here and you'll find it.
