Hay all you Colorado 90 owners

Well the day has come, I am going to start grad school in Greeley (university of northern Colorado) in a few weeks. I am coming from Oregon via Pennsylvania, where my parents live. I have a question for the emissions in Weld County. I have the cats punched out of the 90 and we have no emission testing where I live. Is this going to be a problem? How strict are they? Any experiences you would like to share? Now that I am here anyone live near Greeley that would be willing to show me around meet new people etc, etc. Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry, Brian, I'm not much help but I wanted to welcome you to Colorado anyway. I know that you are in the "basic" emission testing area and not the "enhanced" emissions area. I don't know if they are going to look for cats or not though. I don't know if anyone else here can shed some light for you, you may have to call Weld county.

I hope you don't live too close to the Monfort plant!

It's nice to have another Defender in Colorado.....

By punched out I assume that you mean that you broke the ceramic out of the cats but the metal housing is still intact correct?

Weld County does a simple visual test and if the shell of the cat is still there they will most likely assume that it still has the ceramic in it. I have never seen a place that looks inside of the Cat Con.

Now if you completely removed them chances are you will fail.
