Sure would be nice to put an end to the rattling over every bump...

I asked the same thing last month:

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ead.php?t=7182

Apparently George at RDS has them cheaper, but have not heard if anyone has actually tried them.

I was hoping to hear from someone that has used these, it just seems like a much more reasonably priced fix than getting a whole new rear tire carrier setup.

1. If you only care about the noise I would try just fitting a rubber or poly washer on either side of the wheel and tighten it up. I have the stock setup and when tightened down I don't hear anything. You may also try a poly sleeve on each extension. There's a high density polypropelene out there. I've seen it used as sheets between leaf springs to thwart rusting and noise, there should be tubing available.

2. If you want to fix the problem then you need to get a tire carrier that's up to the job. I'm waiting for the day when my tire breaks off the back (33x12.5). I don't see how a 35 can hold on for too long.
