H1N1 is hell

H1N1 is hell folks, I'm on day 10th & still managed to infect my wife when most doctors are telling patients they can go back to work.

The doctors office misdiagnosed the condition, recommended "Sudafed" over the counter all of things. The doctors office said a test was not needed.

day 5, checked into hospital, emergency doctor confirmed H1N1, performed inhaler treatment to open lung functions and prescribed strong cough medication.

My conditions progressed over a 5 days, you dont have all the conditions at the same time people which is a mistake most doctors & folks are making.

1. Fist 3 days, sore throat...I mean very sore.
2. high fever & chills 2 days
3. dry cough, headache & vomiting remaining days.

The H1N1 treatment is useless after you have contracted the virus.

I constantly wash my hands and did everything in my power accept wear a mask and still managed to get it

I hope this helps everyone and for some which have children and older family members.

You got any kids? Take care of yourself. Don't forget to burn your favorite stuffed bunny rabbit when this is all over!

Get well soon! I just called my doctor and got put on the list for the vaccine... right now all they have is the nasal spray though, not sure how I feel about that since it's a live virus.

my cousin was in ICU for 12 days - high pressure vent tube etc. with H1N1. (no high risk cat's, healthy, 26 yr old) he pulled through but we thought the worst for a week or more.

sounds like your getting off lucky - stay safe.

still only high risk patients out here for the vaccine
i'm sending people home with any symptoms of flu etc. (who work for me, i'm not a Doctor btw)

Don't forget about the regular flu. I was vaccinated for H1N1 at work. Just got the regular flu despite flu mist vaccination as well. I've lost 10 pounds that I don't have to lose and can only now eat and drink again after 36 hours of close to constant vomiting and diarhea after the 8 days of shit congestion and sore throat coughing etc. All flus suck balls. Glad you're on the mend. I wasn't given antibiotics til 7 days after my first visit to the doc, 3rd one they wised up.

Matthew: funny you mentioned the flu shot, I asked the emergency doctor & he said why bother...I will take your advice.

Robert: glad to hear your cousin is better now.

The best advice is get the H1n1 shot folks.
