Is there a kit or known resource for keeping the doors open on 94 D90? Personally I have created a dance which let's me in, but for any guest, they get there ankles chopped. I swear I can park down hill and they still close with a bang.
Refresh the OEM door hardware or replace if missing. Do a search for check strap maybe. I'll look for all the part numbers when I'm on a computer. Easy fix. Doesn't require the door cards to be off.
If your guests are female, you can impress them by assisting them with the door and being sure they're safely buckled in ( "Ha ha ha, these doors are a little tricky, please allow me to assist so that you don't get you ankle busted"). If they are male, well, then they can be happy they busted their ankle on a Land Rover. It'll give them something to tell their buddies.
One of the 'upgrades' on the '95 Defenders were doors that are held open when moved to the fullest open position. I would think you could fairly easily install the '95 door hardware, no?
Talked to Trevor at Rovahfarm, great guy. Basically out of luck w 94 model as no stops. Suggested converting to 95 but said door cards may no longer fit. I'll try n look up and see. He was kind enough to provide current part numbers.
