Grill Surround on a PUMA

So I bought a new grill surround for my 110. I didn't need it but I felt I owed it to her. Kidding. I bought it because I wanted to put a black one on like a G4 truck as I thought it would set the front off nicely with the black cage and wheels. I figured I would buy a new one so I could still have the white one that matched. So I got the new one and the difference between it and the original one is there are no captive nuts for the grill. I checked around and Rovernorth sent me push pins to put the grill on. They said the new puma they have has the grill on that way. Seems like a dumb design. Has anyone seen this? Not that I don't believe Roversnoth just curious.

That is correct for newer trucks.
They started the plastic pins in 2002 or so. (not exactly sure).

Adjust your hood. It is sitting 1/2in too high in front.

Yup, that's the ones. you might also have to wind in slightly the threaded bit inside the spring in the middle of the bonnet too, so it catches properly.

However, when i had a 3.9 V8 90 some years back, having a slight gap on the nose of the bonnet like yours has, did wonders for my engine cooling.

I like it... But, why are you spending money on a truck that you are trying to sell?

I had the surround and had been planning to put it on even before wanting to sell it. If it sells the new owner can decide if they want the black or white
