Greaseable Tie-rod Ends

So I was going through this month's Popular Mechanics and I saw something about converting tie-rod ends from the sealed units like those on a 90 to greaseable units by just drilling and taping grease fittings in. I was wondering if anyone has done any such thing so I don't just start drilling and wasting my time.

DAP sells greasable TREs -- been using them for years and haven't had a problem.

I've drilled and tapped the tie rod ends on both my 110 and Series 3. Simple and cheap.
