Got the T case back in
Holey Cheeses what a pain in the rear end. Yesterday's beautiful weather was spent on the La Weeb replacing what I hope is the thing keeping me off the road. Got the replacement T case in but it was an all day thing. Muscled it out, then in, using only my stored up reserve of belly fat. It fell off onto my face just once. I still have plenty of stuff to reinstall; hook ups to the tcase, brake, prop shafts, cross member, air tank, sway bar, exhaust, center console, blah blah blah....
My next door neighbor asked how it was going and I had to tell her it is like doing cardiac surgery by going in thru the nose. Most hated job ever.
Now, if I were doing this at the barn with the advantages of a nice smooth concrete floor, air tools, various hydraulic devices and a tractor, I would have been finished days ago. As it was, on my decaying sloped asphalt driveway, in the cold, hand tools only, with just so much room underneath as my pitiful jackstands can muster, it was hell.
